Check your voter registration

Not sure if you’re registered to vote? The Pennsylvania Department of State can help! You can search by your name or your driver’s license number to determine if you’re registered.

Where to vote

If you are voting in person on Election Day, your ward determines where you will vote. In Brentwood, there are 10 wards. Not sure what ward you’re in? You can find that here or by clicking the button below.

Register to vote

If you are not registered to vote, or if you need to make changes to your voter registration, you must do so AT LEAST 15 days before the next election. For the Nov. 4, 2025 election, you must be registered by Monday, Oct. 20.

Voter registration deadlines:

  • Submitted in Person: Received 15 days before Election Day.
  • Submitted by Mail: Received 15 days before Election Day.
  • Submitted Online: Received 15 days before Election Day.

Request a mail-in or absentee ballot

In Pennsylvania, any registered voter can request a mail-in or absentee ballot.

Mail-in ballot: Any registered voter may apply to vote by mail. You do not have to provide a reason for why you want to vote by mail ballot.

Absentee ballot: If you will  be out of your municipality on Election Day or if you have a disability or illness that prevents you from going to your polling place on Election Day, you can request this ballot type, which requires you to provide a reason for why you want to vote by mail ballot.

Deadlines for the Nov. 4, 2025, election:
  • 5 p.m., Oct. 28: Your APPLICATION for a mail-in or absentee ballot must be received by the Allegheny County Elections Division.

  • 8 p.m., Nov. 4: The Allegheny County Elections Division must RECEIVE your completed mail ballot by this time. A postmark by 8 p.m. Nov. 4 is not sufficient. A ballot submitted without a secrecy envelope, unsigned or inside an incorrectly dated declaration envelope will not be counted.
    • Leading up to elections, Allegheny County offers ballot return locations where voters who received a mail-in or absentee ballot can return ballots in-person to a county employee.
